Rhythm of the Dushak


The rhythmic pattern of the drums is same as cha : a combination of a trochaic rhythm of the dahu and a duple beat of the watch.
But the difference compared to cha is that though cha is a continuous repetition of this simple rhythmic pattern, dushak is in the meter of two or four. This is accomplished by the dahu stressing the first triplet and muting the second or forth.
